Whinny & Mane
Horse Sanctuary
Social Media Brand Identity
A social media identity designed for a fictional non-profit organization, Whinny & Mane Horse Sanctuary. This includes headers for Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, as well as an ad design for each platform.
Social media headers and mockups were created in Adobe Illustrator. Social media ads were created in Adobe Photoshop.
Process
The organization wanted to expand its social media presence to better promote fundraisers and educate the public on their work. Currently, the only platform the company uses is Facebook.
To best reach the target audience of older individuals with disposable income, a love for animals, and volunteering, it was decided that the client should expand to Twitter and LinkedIn, alongside their current Facebook page. Facebook has built-in fundraiser/event features and works well with emotional, story-based content. Twitter is useful for quick announcements and the hashtag system can spread news quickly and organically. Lastly, LinkedIn is more professional and can be used to garner support from partners, donors, and volunteers.
For the brand identity, the focus was on soft, organic patterns. The brand’s palette of greens and browns worked well to make wooden signs and grassy fields. Imagery centers around horses and people helping horses; as helping horses in need is the brand’s main goal.
